On Thursday, January 29, three George Brown alumni entrepreneurs will share their stories at Why Not Me? Casa Loma. Jeff Wong graduated from the Mechanical Engineering program at George Brown, but he always wanted to be a dancer. Now, he and his wife are the owners of danceinc.ca, a prosperous dance studio in Markham, Ontario. A true opportunity recognizer, Jeff also owns a dance clothing business and a manufacturing operation.  He will talk about the journey from engineering to dance to entrepreneur.  Brittany Hopkins studied both Entrepreneurship and Jewellery Design and Goldsmithing.  She now owns Anice Jewellery in Kensington Market, creating one-of-a-kind pieces, running workshops, repairing all sorts of items and never looking back.  Eric Cappell is a graduate of Construction, worked in the field, but recently decided a start-up called SignedOut in the field of digital video signage is his next project.

Jeff, Brittany and Eric will share: what inspired them to start their businesses?  What does it take?  What was the best moment? The worst moment?  What obstacles did they have to overcome?  What advice do they have for you if you have a great idea and an entrepreneurial spirit?
