AWARE Beverages Inc. III: Line Extension

AWARE Beverages Inc. (“AWARE”) is a Toronto based company run by 3 partners. One of their premiere brands is SoCIAL LITE Vodka. The SoCIAL LITE Vodka coolers are low calorie, full-flavoured alcoholic beverages. There are currently 5 SKUs on the market; Lime Ginger, Lemon Cucumber Mint, Pineapple Mango, Lemon Ice Tea, and Grapefruit Pomelo. George Brown College’s Food Innovation and Research Studio (FIRSt) is collaborating with AWARE on new product line extensions for their vodka-based coolers. AWARE requires assistance from FIRSt to develop 4 new flavours for their August 31st submission to the LCBO. Principal Investigator Rob McCurdy, M.Sc., Senior Food Scientist, FIRSt, and Co-Principal Investigators Candace Rambert, B.A., Culinary Technologist, FIRSt, and Emily Lim, B.Sc., Food Scientist Technologist, FIRSt, will use their extensive industry experience and technical training to complete this project, while working with a student from George Brown College’s Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts. This project is funded by AWARE.
