AWARE Beverages Inc. IV: Product Development of New Brand

AWARE Beverages

AWARE Beverages Inc. (“AWARE”) is a Toronto based company run by 3 partners. One of their premiere brands is SoCIAL LITE Vodka. The SoCIAL LITE Vodka coolers are low calorie, full-flavoured alcoholic beverages. AWARE is curating new ideas to keep their momentum as a first-to-market brand. They also see opportunity to tap into the U.S market and would like to begin research and development of a new vodka-based brand. George Brown College’s Food Innovation and Research Studio (FIRSt) is collaborating with AWARE on the new brand. AWARE requires technical assistance from FIRSt to develop 4 flavours for their August 31st submission to the LCBO. Principal Investigators Tricia Ryan, BA, BSc, MBA, Director, FIRSt, and Rob McCurdy, M.Sc., Senior Food Scientist, FIRSt, and Co-Principal Investigator Candace Rambert, B.A., Culinary Technologist, FIRSt, will use their extensive industry experience and technical training to complete this project, while working with a student from George Brown College’s Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts. This project is funded by AWARE.
