Benchmarking and Validation of HeartTransverter at George Brown College

Butterfly Energetics Inc. (BEI)

Butterfly Energetics Inc.(BEI) is a systems integration company with a focus on sustainable renewable energy solutions. The initial focus of collaboration between George Brown College (GBC) and BEI was on the Heart Transverter (HT). The HT removes the current limitation of renewable energy connections on the electrical grid from instabilities caused by solar and wind energy sources. GBC and BEI aim to develop and test the Heart Transverter as a power supply for new and extremely efficient LED lighting systems and explore further integration of the HT into a complete ‘smart’ automated home. This project involves installing and testing the technology at GBC and field testing at the Kortright Centre.
