Mircom Technologies Ltd.

The Mircom Group of Companies (MGC) is North America’s largest independent designer, manufacturer and distributor of Fire Detection & Alarm, Communication Systems, and Controlled Access solutions. MGC are finalizing development of a new platform for building and community services which integrates video intercom, home automation and system integration for homes and condos. GBC researchers are conducting a trial implementation of the Smart Condo system for multi-unit residential applications. This project will document the experiences of a third party team as they follow installation instructions, add / configure devices. The GBC team will work through a number of commissioning scenarios in order to report on installation difficulties and bugs, recommendations for improving system implementations, and compatibility with home devices.
