Interactive 3D Walkthrough Technology for Condo and Commercial Real Estate

Invent Dev Inc.

The objective of this project was to enable Invent Dev Inc. to efficiently create accurate and realistic 3D interactive walkthroughs of condo developments and commercial real estate properties from Revit CAD files. Invent Dev Inc. is based in Mississauga, ON and provides high impact marketing services to interior designers, architects and developers by creating 3D interactive walkthroughs that allow prospective clients to virtually view a property from any perspective before the building is constructed. A team of faculty and students from Game Development and Game Programming at George Brown College will collaborated with David Payne, Founder, Invent Dev to produce an online prototype as well as source code and software-as-a-service (SaaS) workflow documents that allow Invent Dev Inc. to create interactive 3D walkthroughs. Invent Devn can now offer a new service to condo developers, who are able to send Invent Dev a 2D CAD or Revit file, and just days later receive an online 3D walkthrough of their property viewable on the web, via mobile, tablet, desktop and/or Oculus Rift platforms.
