Pizza Oven Insert

Kaunitz Consulting

Jonathan Kaunitz, President of Kaunitz Consulting has designed an advanced Pizza Oventhat is intended for Barbecue stove tops. Jonathan has approached George Brown College’s Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies(CCET) Mechanical Engineering Technology program to fabricate the initial design. The main principle of the Pizza Oven is to utilize IR radiation as the main heating source for quick-baking items such as pizza. This will be achieved by using anodized aluminum due to its superior IR emissivity and high thermal conductance. A thin ceramic plate can be attached to the fabricated prototype to prevent food from burning and direct contact with aluminum. All project activities will be carried out solely by Principal Investigator David Hu.
