Recipe Development for Colorectal Cancer Canada

Colorectal Cancer Canada

Colorectal Cancer Canada (CCC) is collaborating with George Brown College’s Food Innovation and Research Studio (FIRSt) on a recipe development/nutrition project. Colorectal Cancer Canada is Canada’s leading national organization dedicated to increasing public awareness of colorectal cancer and its impact on the Canadian population. Through dedicated research initiatives, education and awareness, and patient support and advocacy, CCC assists Canadians by providing knowledge of colorectal cancer, with an emphasis on adopting healthier eating habits and a more active lifestyle to pre-empt developing colorectal cancer. CCC has approached FIRSt to develop 10 recipes using ingredients that are an impediment to the development of colorectal cancerous growth, in alignment with their Foods That Fight Cancer initiative.
