Vocalage Give Targets: Innovations in Social Giving

Vocalage Inc.

Vocalage Inc., a high-tech spinoff company of the Interactive Media Laboratory at the University of Toronto, has partnered with George Brown College to develop its “Give Button”. The Give Button, which can be placed on any online product page, offers a social giving service where organizations such as universities and hospitals can allow groups of people to contribute to specific fundraising goals, such as scholarships or medical equipment. The focus of the project is on developing a suitable business model where the business can be profitable while still ensuring that 100% of every donation goes to the targeted cause. Investigators: Tyler Krimmel, M.A. (Principal), School of Computer Technology.
