Cricket - JUMP Bars

Entotritious Inc. approached George Brown College’s Food Innovation and Research Studio (FIRSt) to refine three ‘energy bar’ products – known as JUMP Bars! With the help of both FIRSt and public focus groups, Entotritious created a product line that picks up energy levels and provides a plentiful and sustainable source of protein using cricket flour! It’s only a matter of time before these alternative sources of protein appear in the protein bar aisle at grocery and health food stores.

Zpirit Foods Inc. (Zpirit) is a Toronto-based start-up company that has developed a line of healthy flavoured beverages called FruitWater. The FruitWater beverages are developed using a mix of whole fruits, water, and spices designed to appeal to the emergent demographic of young, urban and ultimately health-conscious consumers between 23-30 years of age.

The products are developed using a mix of fruits and vegetables, juices, and herbs, designed to appeal to the emergent demographic of young, urban and ultimately health conscious consumers who are looking for a healthy product which is quick to consume for adults and children.
