The next time you reach to charge your personal devices, you may be harnessing the power of the sun. Better Current, a company working to deliver energy storage products to elevate people to the next level of energy management and sustainability, has created the JENNi: a compact and expandable home-use solar power charging station that aims to charge consumer electronics while at home or while on the move.
Design and Process Validation for Manufacturability of Eagle and BlackBird Products
This project is a joint collaboration between Clear Blue Technologies and George Brown College’s Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies(CCET). The goal of this project is to develop Clear Blue’s manufacturing processes for two of their products.
Benchmarking and Validation of HeartTransverter at George Brown College
Butterfly Energetics Inc.(BEI) is a systems integration company with a focus on sustainable renewable energy solutions. The initial focus of collaboration between George Brown College (GBC) and BEI was on the Heart Transverter (HT). The HT removes the current limitation of renewable energy connections on the electrical grid from instabilities caused by solar and wind energy sources.
Data Collection for Heat Preservation Series (HPS) HeatShield Performance Verification
eTime Energy is a Toronto based company that specializes in heat preservation coatings which can be used on windows. These coatings, or paints are chemically altered using a nanotechnology giving them properties that reflect and block heat without sacrificing on aesthetics or safety.
Validation of “Heatwave” Heating Unit
DynaCurrent has developed a proprietary technology that dramatically increases the conversion of electrical power to heat energy by improving efficiency. A prototype of this novel heating chamber called “Heatwave” was created.
