Good Robot’s InHome Monitoring System – Good Robot will collaborate with George Brown College to test, validate and refine their Good Robot InHome system prior to their official commercial launch. Good Robot is a Toronto-based company that specializes in emerging technologies such as telerobitics, handheld assistive devices, and home automation technology.
Incite Performance Management Inc. is a development stage venture based in Toronto, Ontario offering sustainable solutions to healthcare individuals and institutions. Incite and GBC are working together to develop a prototype of the PEP Community – a social media knowledge/collaboration community HUB platform, specifically targeted towards nurses and wound care.
The Virtual Interactive Case (VIC) system allows nurse educators to create online simulations of patient encounters that students can use to practice conducting nursing assessments. The VIC case allows the student to take the patients history, conduct a review of systems and physical exam, order laboratory tests, review diagnostic images and consult with specialists in gathering the pertinent information to determine the patient problems that require nursing interventions.
The objective of this project was the development of innovative, interactive and accessible e-Learning modules that support knowledge uptake and knowledge translation for point of care health care providers in the home care sector.
